Initial Consultation
The first simple step is to arrange your free consultation and agree on a time and date of your choosing, we offer out of hours and weekend appointments. At this time you will be appointed your own architect to guide you through the process and be with you every step of the way. The consultation will allow you to express your ideas for the proposal and we will be able to advise of any possible restrictions and offer advice from a professional prospective. After this stage a survey time and date shall be arranged again to suit your diary.
Survey
This visit shall include a detailed measured building survey to enable us to compile the existing blueprints of your home along with an external and drainage survey. As all our operatives use state of the art imaging and laser measurement equipment this survey usually does not exceed 30mins.
Design
The information gathered shall be used to produce the blue prints of your existing property along with the new proposal providing Floor Plan Layouts, Elevations and site plans all required by the local authority for planning approval. Once we have produced these plans a further sign off meeting shall be arranged usually within one week from the survey date to allow you to confirm the plans are as you envisaged. Our plans shall be detailed to a level to allow contractors to produce estimates.
Submission to the Council
Assuming the plans meet with your approval, the application shall be submitted online on your behalf with approval times varying from between six to eight weeks for domestic alterations depending on borough.
